“ Was craving mexican and saw this saucy looking tacos on yelp so had to stop by. Fried Elote: This was really delicious. Corn was individually fried and were extremely crispy. All the sauce along with cheese and chili made each bite really flavor packed. However the oil that it was fried in might be old bc I could taste it in the elote. A little lime on yhe side would be nice to help cut the creaminess by a little to balance the elote. Overall still delicious. 4.5/5 Cali Pork Belly/Fish Tacos: Super flavorful and saucy. Fish was fried to perfection and pork belly was grilled to where you could taste the char but meat was still juicy. I will say that I was misled from the yelp photos since it seemed like their shell was crusted with cheese. 4.5/5 Surf and Turf Taco: Not bad but compared to the other ones we had, this one was lacking. I didn't like that there was rice in this one and the overall flavor was lacking. Didn't see any sauce. Meat portion was small compared to the shrimp that was given. 2/5 Mexican Garlic Fries: The portion was HUGE. We were expecting like a medium order of fries but there was a lot of fries. Fries were a little undercooked and not crispy. They doused the fries in garlic and cotija cheese but it honestly just felt like too much. The seasoning didn't really stick to the fries and overall just a mess. 1/5 Despite the minor things, the food here was really good and I see myself coming back. Definitely recommend their Fried Elote and Cali Fish/Pork Belly tacos. ”

“ We catered lunch for a birthday party with Gabe and it was incredible!! The tacos were amazing we had steak, chicken, shrimp and vegetarian as well as quesadillas. All the salsas and toppings were great too! He was so professional and friendly and made sure all the guests had an amazing time. He was punctual, super clean. Would highly recommend him for events. Great food catering/live food service! ”

“ Dear ABVE the Basics, How dare you make a burrito so big and filling that I don't have room for anything else. Have you no shame? Maybe I want a pork belly taco as well as the surf and turf burrito? Joking aside, I absolutely love this truck. The above paragraph is my constant struggle. Each and every time I get the Surf and Turf burrito and think, yeah, I'll get a taco too. It's just ONE little taco after all. The good news is that the burrito reheats well. Let's talk about these freshly made tortillas though. I would bathe in them. I would use them a currency in the event of an apocalypse. I've never had bad service at the truck. They've been super busy and always took time to offer a kind word and a smile. The ambiance is... well, it's a nice looking food truck. But let's be honest, you don't go to a food truck for ambiance. One day I'll try something new here.... that's a lie. I will always make the mistake of getting too much because it's so good. ”

“ Finding these guys' food truck at the Cupertino Night Market has definitely put their main store location on my map! Excellent quality Mexican-fusion food that looks just as good as it tastes. From the first bite I knew it was great. If it wasn't a fair-type setting I'd probably have gone back for more of their items, so if you find these guys out on the street *definitely try them out*. Though they had quite the long ordering line, staff went through it efficiently; waiting time was about 10 minutes for both the drink and bowl after getting the order in. We ordered their Ube Horchata and Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. ==Ube Horchata== Quite delicious and subtly sweet as described by staff; not overwhelmingly sweet at all and very refreshing with the spice mix. ==Fried Chicken Bowl== We swapped to this menu item on a whim when we got up to their ordering window, as it was a special for the event. Very tasty, as the chicken had a very nice crisp fry and moist insides that really melded well with the soy-glaze and mayo drizzled on top. Sprinkles of toasted white/black sesame and the kimchi made for a nice contrast on the top of the bowl, and the fried rice underneath was wonderfully moist and flavorful. It was missing a good dab of gochujang, but very tasty despite that minor flaw (I just love my spicy bean paste). ”

“ Don't you just love finding good food at a random moment? That's exactly what happened to me. I was driving by the Cambrian plaza because it's down the street from my house. I was actually in a hurry cause I had somewhere to go but when I passed by I saw the food truck. Luckily they had their IG on the side of their truck and I was at the stoplight waiting to turn. After I realized the food looked good, I said why not and just stop by and get me a burrito real quick. Boy am I glad I did! Saw the surf and turf burrito and that's the one that caught my attention. The owner or the main guy that was taking my order was pretty cool and he got me to buy the Ube horchata drink as well. He really sold me on it by saying, it's a hot day you should grab a drink. As I was sweating from my forehead lol. Well played. Back to the burrito. I took it home and was surprised on how big the size was! Pretty solid price point and worth every penny. The flavor was very good too! Usually with burritos it's somewhat plain but this one had so many flavors going on from the melted cheese to the steak and shrimp and the sauce that they add inside was pretty good. It's like a creamy cilantro I would say? Either way it's great. The Ube horchata was alright. Good amount of Ube but a little cinnamon for me? It's good but just not my cup of tea or in this case horchata lol. I say if you haven't had it, try it out yourself. I came back the 2nd time and got the same meal but then also got the pork belly tacos. Very unique with the pineapple like salsa. Price is pretty steep for a taco but definitely worth trying as well. Don't be alarm on some of the prices though. Support your local businesses!!! I'll be back for sures! ”

“ I had their Downtown SJ Location bookmarked for awhile, but I have not been able to check it out, Luckily they have a food truck, so I was able to finally check it out. Cali Fish Taco - Delicious taco covered in sauce. All the ingredients went well together. Would get again. Cali Pork Belly Taco - The pork belly had the perfect amount of meat and fattyness and everything was well seasoned and again, delicious sauce. Bay Area Surf N' Turf Burrito - The burrito was huge!! They didn't skimp on the meat or ingredients! Even the rice they used in the burrito was good! Chips and salsa that came with the meal - I usually don't comment on the chips and salsa, but I have to for this place as they have the best chips and salsa I ever had. My friends also agreed. The salsa was reallllly flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. I also took a sip of my friends ube coconut horchata. I do not really enjoy cinnamon, but I actually liked the drink. The ube coconut was strong, in a good way! I would order this next time! Service: Very efficient! There were a couple of orders ahead of mine, they managed to get the orders out in a timely manner. Overall: My new favorite spot for tacos and burritos! Portions were great! Delicious sauce!Everything tasted as good as it looked. Would love to check out more of their menu. ”

“ I got to try a few items on the menu here. The Mexican pizza was a little too salty, so I picked some of the meat off to cut it. The Cali fries with steak were amazing - they are actually tater tots and not fries. But the sauces were so good and would definitely get this item again. I really liked the kick that the green sauce had. The ube horchata was just okay and too sweet. It could use some stronger ube flavor to counter that a little more. Loved how fast the food came out and wouldn't mind coming back to try more! ”
